Care & Support

We believe an authentic church should strive to meet individual needs through relationships with others.  You can develop relationships with others through small groups and volunteer opportunities.  When additional care is required, the Care & Support teams exist to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of River Valley attendees in unique life circumstances.

Support

Addiction Recovery
A safe group atmosphere for creating supportive relationships with others who share similar life struggles. Griefshare
It may be hard to feel optimistic about the future when you’ve lost a loved one and it can often feel like no one understands the deep hurt you are going through but GriefShare wants to be a support to you.  GriefShare sessions are offered on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 6:45 - 9:00 pm. At these sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a recent loss and receive biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Prayer Counseling
A safe and confidential place where you can come to receive Godly counsel through trained prayer ministers.  For more information visit the prayer counseling page or email pcm@rivervalley.org.

Care

Prayer
If you'd like someone to pray for you or someone who needs prayer, contact us prayer@rivervalley.org and your request will be shared with members of our prayer team. You can also leave a message for the prayer team at 952-997-2222 (Apple Valley) or 507-334-4917 (Faribault).

Hospital Visits
When illness or injury strikes, we are affected emotionally and spiritually. Our pastors are available to visit for prayer and encouragement if you, or someone you know, is hospitalized. Funerals
If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a family member you can contact us to make arrangements for a River Valley Church pastor to conduct a funeral service here at River Valley or at another location. Caring Bridge
Caring Bridge is a website that will help you keep loved ones informed during difficult times through pictures and journal entries. Your family and friends can offer support through leaving guestbook messages. It’s a meaningful way to help friends and family during life changing events such as premature birth, cancer, international adoption, military deployment, traumatic injuries or illnesses. Caring Bridge is a free non-profit organization. You can easily create your own Caring Bridge webpage for yourself or someone you love. Care Ministry
If someone you know is welcoming a new addition to the family or are going through an illness or loss of a loved one, The Care Ministry team of River Valley will provide your family with a week's worth of delicious meals - delivered right to your door.
